I would only ask that for a few minutes that you engage in objective critical thought and not that you don't at other times but this is something also worth thinking soberly about.
Below are extracts from 4 versions. The highlighted words are from only 3 contemporary bible versions for the sake of brevity. They are compared with the Authorized Version (KJV). The words that are highlighted are where they differ from each other. They know they can copy from the KJV but they have to keep changing their words from one another. Why? Because of copyright. You see, unless the ESV, NASV, NIV and others keep changing their words from each other, they can sue each other.
Now each of these versions all state the they sensed or knew the God was directing them through all their wording. Pious, isn't it? They all claim that their bible reflects the intent of the original authors, that unless you use their bible, you will not have the Word of God as fresh as the Holy Spirit intended it. Well, there is nothing like humility, and with these recent versions, you will find NOTHING like humility.
For example, "IF|" the NIV choose wording of several verses which were actually perfect, the ESV is bound by copyright law to change them for their own version to protect themselves from a lawsuit. There is actually nothing at all to do with being faithful to the "original wording". We will not delve here into the darker financial side of these modern version dealings as this is only dealing with one aspect. So for the sake of "filthy lucre", these businesses are loading up the church with endless confusion.
People will never take the words of God as seriously as they were intended to while a new version rolls off the press each year. They will not believe the words or memorize them until they believe them, but have no fear, the modern bible publishers will never allow that.
Proof you ask? Yes, it will be coming from their own mouths in an upcoming post that their actual intent was that you never believed the words in the first place. Yes, but I hear you saying, "I know so and so from the *** committee and he would never do that." Really? Stay tuned.

8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
